PLI is searching for a multimedia professional to fill the role of Live Event Specialist . (responsibilities and qualifications are described below). .. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES . . The Specialist is expected to learn and rotate through the following roles:. . . Technical Director:. Cuts and directs the show for the conference room and web audience. Tags lower thirds, syncs PowerPoint Events for Web Audience while closely working with a team of Multimedia Production Specialist to ensure that all audio-visual components are implemented in such a way as to provide a solution that meets the demands and the goal(s) of the event.. . Audio Technician: Mixes. live audio for both in-room and online audiences, collaborating with the Floor Manager to ensure optimal sound quality. Sets up and tests video conferencing (Zoom) for remote participants. Uses visual Biamp audio meters and actively monitors the live webcast audio to adjust levels as needed. .. . Video Technician:. syncs the webcast stream with local recordings and monitors the live webcast for any audio or video issues. They coordinate with the video operator to create program graphics, titles, and lower thirds, tag fields, and create sub-clips for product automation using a digital recorder for On-Demand Video Products. Additionally, they prepare commercial ads for playback during networking and lunch breaks.. . Floor Manager:. Sits In and monitors the live event and communicates with the Program Attorney and Faculty Members who are presenting. Help faculty settle into their sessions and review microphone, presentation, and best practices for presenting. Be ready to assist Faculty if any technical difficulties arise during the live program while communicating with control room technicians to keep the event moving forward.. . . Other Responsibilities:. . . Maintain effective and professional relationships within the Multimedia department and through the organization.. . Communicate effectively with Multimedia management.. . Communicate with Vendors and Engineers as necessary.. . Other duties, as assigned.. . . . . QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS. . . 4+ years of production experience in entertainment, web, broadcast, or cable television required.. . Bachelor’s Degree in Video Production strongly preferred.. . Proficiency is necessary in Microsoft Office & Adobe Creative Production Suite. Candidates must have the ability to edit, upload and display PowerPoint presentations.. . Must have “Live” corporate event experience.. . You must be able to work responsibly on own, but also to interact professionally1 with a wide range of internal clients.. . Production Switcher or Vizrt TC1. . Familiar with Newtek NDI Tools a plus. . Vizrt or Broadcast Graphics Generator. . Pronolgy Stream File Core and Black Magic Hyperdeck or similar digital or cloud-based capture. . Avantis or digital audio board /Dante Audio software. .
