We are currently undergoing a full platform transformation from a legacy data center to a modern cloud-based architecture. As our new . Data Engineer. , you will play a critical role in this greenfield migration (not lift-and-shift) and help shape the foundation for scalable and reliable data infrastructure. You will ensure our current data flows(Kafka, Airflow, Dremio, SQL) are understood, stabilized, and partly redesigned. This is a technical and analytical role with significant responsibility for reliable, reproducible, and on-time data processing and delivery. Data modeling & calculation, maintain and optimize existing ETL jobs and reporting pipelines (Kafka, Airflow, SQL, Dremio). . Design and implement scalable, cloud-native data processing workflows. . Conduct rigorous data validation and quality assurance across critical systems. . Document and verify data calculation logic for auditability and reproducibility. . Collaborate closely with Product, Dev, and Customer Success to ensure data delivery aligns with stakeholder needs. . Contribute to the definition and implementation of GDPR-compliant, future-proof data architectures. . Play a key role in the transition from legacy systems to the new cloud environment. . . What You bring to the table. . . 3–5+ years of experience in data engineering, ideally in cloud migration contexts. . Strong skills in Python and SQL; experience with Dremio, Pandas, and Jupyter a plus. . Proven hands-on experience with Kafka, Airflow, and Linux shell scripting. . Familiarity with cloud-native platforms (e.g., AWS S3, BigQuery, Glue). . Understanding of CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab, Ansible, Docker). . Detail-oriented, quality-focused, and self-driven with strong documentation habits. . Working proficiency in German (B2 at least, mandatory). , comfortable working in bilingual teams. . .
