Engineering Manager. to help lead our product engineering teams as they design and develop workflows and integrations to better support our clinical staff and the patients and families that enroll with InStride. In this role, you will lead and manage a single engineering team, working closely with our product team and lead platform architect to break down and scope technical projects, owning ground-up and top-down roadmap items and priorities, and lending your experience to ensure the success of projects. You will be responsible for the team’s execution, delivery, health, and the career growth of its members. This is a fully remote position. . . Responsibilities:. . . Partner closely with the product team and stakeholders to break down, scope, and oversee the delivery of technical projects, ensuring well-built, scalable solutions for clinical staff, patients, and families.. . Oversee the design and development of maintainable, scalable software systems that are thoroughly tested, documented, and monitored.. . Lead and mentor a team of full-stack engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement through constructive feedback and teaching best practices.. . Work with internal product and design teams to translate business needs into practical, high-impact technology solutions.. . Supervise the creation and management of robust integrations between InStride and third-party systems.. . Partner with support teams to diagnose and resolve production issues quickly, ensuring reliable service for patients and their families.. . Act as a creative, agile leader who drives the team to push new features and code every iteration.. . . Tech Stack. . . Golang. . React/Typescript. . AWS cloud infrastructure. . . What You Need to Succeed in the Role. . . 2+ years of experience managing or leading engineering teams in building and deploying advanced web applications and services into production.. . A proven track record of mentoring less-experienced engineers, conducting thoughtful code reviews, and coaching career growth.. . Experience working in Healthcare Technologies is a plus.. . Experience leading projects that involve creating and implementing AI/ML integrations is a plus.. . A strong understanding of complex data integrations, APIs, webhooks, and other popular integration methods.. . Solid understanding of how to prioritize projects and make critical tradeoffs between "nice-to-haves" and "must-haves".. . You find defects and architectural problems when reviewing code.. . You can architect systems that will scale beyond today’s expected usage.. . Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.. . Proficiency in debugging production issues.. . Comfortable working at a startup which moves fast with tight deadlines.. . You collaborate well with others and are dedicated to the company’s success.. . Frequently share your opinions and provide thoughtful feedback.. . You are comfortable learning on the job and working with unfamiliar tools.. . Familiarity with our tech stack is a plus.. . . The expected annual salary for this role is between $148,000-$165,000. Actual starting salary will be determined on an individualized basis and will be based on several factors including but not limited to specific skill set, work experience, etc.. .
