We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented BIW Measurement Room Manager to lead our dimensional inspection and quality verification operations. This role will oversee the measurement room dedicated to Body-in-White (BIW) validation using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), optical 3D scanning systems, Meisterbock and cubing tools. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in automotive body geometry, GD&T, metrology software, and quality system compliance.. . What you’ll do. . Lead, train, and manage a team of metrology technicians, engineers, and support staff in the Component Center.. . Schedule measurement activities to support engineering, launch, production, and quality objectives.. . Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant measurement environment.. . . Dimensional Metrology Operations. . . Oversee and validate dimensional inspection using:. . CMMs (Zeiss, Hexagon, Wenzel, etc.) with associated software (e.g., Calypso, PC-DMIS). . Optical systems (ATOS, GOM, Laser Trackers,). . Meisterbock and Cubing process development. . Review and approve measurement reports, ensuring alignment with GD&T, design specs, and VW standards.. . Develop and enforce inspection protocols (BMAA) and part setup standards across platforms.. . Lead fixturing concept and development.. . . Program Support & Launch. . . Support new product launch, VFF-end of product life.. . Collaborate with Product Engineering, Body Shop, and Supplier Quality to resolve BIW issues.. . Provide dimensional correlation and root cause analysis during Pre-series, continue as a key FAP member.. . . Issue Identification and Resolution. . . Identify deviations, defects, or process variation in the production process or final vehicle assembly.. . Work with relevant departments to implement corrective and preventive actions.. . Monitor and verify the effectiveness of implemented solutions.. . Lead the timing plan of open issue closures.. . . System Management. . . Manage calibration schedules and maintenance for all metrology equipment.. . Implement and oversee MSA (Measurement System Analysis), Gauge R&R, and statistical control methods.. . Ensure data traceability and archiving in digital systems (Teamcenter, Pi-web.). . . Reporting & Communication. . . Communicate dimensional concerns and trends to cross-functional teams, including design, process, and quality.. . Create dashboards for KPIs such as capability indices (Cp, Cpk), deviation trends, and inspection backlog.. . Present reports to executive management during launch readiness and quality reviews.. . .  . . Location & Travel Expectations. :. . . Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics or related field.. . 5+ years of experience in BIW dimensional analysis, or vehicle launch engineering.. . Expertise in GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, and root cause analysis of dimensional variation.. . Experience with metrology systems (CMM, laser scan, optical measurement systems) and data interpretation tools (Pi Web).. . Strong knowledge of automotive industry standards.. . Excellent understanding of complete vehicle production processes.. . Proven ability to manage and lead teams effectively.. . Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.. . Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.. .
