Software Quality Assurance Tester at CSCI Consulting. . Location: Cleveland, OH; Remote. Job Description. . CSCI is looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented . Software Quality Assurance (QA) Tester.  to join our Quality Assurance team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts using UFT (Unified Functional Testing) for a large-scale software application and various testing projects. Your work will directly support our mission to deliver high-quality software solutions by reducing manual testing efforts and enhancing automation practices.. . Responsibilities. . . Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using UFT (Unified Functional Testing) for comprehensive application coverage. . Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product owners, and business analysts to analyze requirements and design detailed, effective test cases. . Integrate automated test scripts into ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) for streamlined test execution, management, and reporting. . Execute automated smoke and regression test suites to validate software environments and system changes efficiently. . Use Quality Center (QC) and ALM for test planning, case management, and defect tracking, ensuring quality standards are met throughout the SDLC. . Conduct root cause analysis on test failures, log detailed defect reports, and work closely with development teams for swift issue resolution. . Provide guidance and mentorship to junior QA team members in automation techniques, tools, and best practices. . Continuously enhance test automation frameworks and processes to drive efficiency, scalability, and maintainability. . Use tools like TOAD for querying databases and gathering test data as part of test preparation and validation activities. . .  . . Minimum Requirements. . . Proven experience developing and executing automated test scripts using UFT (Unified Functional Testing). . Strong working knowledge of HP ALM / Quality Center for test management and defect tracking. . Experience integrating automation scripts with ALM for scheduled test runs and reporting. . Solid understanding of SDLC, QA methodologies, and test automation best practices. . Proficient in smoke, regression, and functional testing within enterprise applications. . Experience using TOAD or similar tools for data extraction and validation. . Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially in root cause analysis. . Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders. . Demonstrated ability to mentor and support junior QA team members. . Ability to obtain Security Clearance. . Creativity and adaptability in problem-solving. . Ability to work with clients to understand their needs. . Strong organizational and time-management skills. . Excellent written and verbal communication skills. . Professional presence. . . Preferred Skills. . . Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments. . Exposure to other automation tools such as Selenium or LoadRunner. . Familiarity with performance or security testing concepts. . Experience with PL/SQL . . Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently. . Strong customer and vendor relationship skills. . Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies. . Motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value. . Past experience working with a federal agency / state or local government agency . .
