Analyze and clearly communicate the benefits and risks of adopting new technologies. . Serve as a hands-on technical lead across development, operations, and security in cloud environments. . Guide enterprise-wide adoption of modern tools, cloud platforms, and AI/ML solutions. . Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior IT specialists and engineers. . Balance hands-on engineering with strategic architectural planning and system design. . . Requirements. . . Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. . 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering or IT. . Proficiency in Python and experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch). . Experience deploying, tuning, and maintaining ML models in production (MLOps). . Experience with Amazon SageMaker. . Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure); deep AWS experience strongly preferred. . Strong DevOps skills: CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (CDK or Terraform), automation, and monitoring. . Full-stack development experience:. . . Frontend. : React, TypeScript. . Backend. : Python, Pandas, Scikit-learn. . Data. : PostgreSQL, S3, . . Infrastructure as Code. : Terraform or AWS CDK. . . Strong system architecture skills: designs secure, scalable systems with attention to both detail and big-picture strategy. . Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. . Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new projects and technologies. . . Nice to Have. . . AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or Associate . . Experience managing technical teams and mentoring engineers. . Prior work in government or civic tech environments. . Strong references from past roles. We are committed to offering a competitive salary for this position, with an estimated range of $140k to $170k annually.
