Brand Designer at Copper. . Location: Berkeley, California, United States. Overview. . As a Brand Designer at Copper, you will play an instrumental role in making home decarbonization simple, beautiful, and lovable. You will collaborate with our technical and marketing teams throughout the entire product launch lifecycle, from concept to production. This hands-on role requires close collaboration with internal and external teams to usher designs from concept to launch. . . Team members are expected to be in the office four days per week, with one day flexible for remote work.. . What You'll Do. . . Collaborate cross-functionally with product management and marketing to define and evolve a visual language and compelling story that bridges brand and product.. . Design and produce a wide range of brand and marketing assets, including webpages, mobile app screens, social media content, printed materials, presentation decks, graphics applied to physical products, merch, event signage, and more.. . Ensure a cohesive, clear, accessible, and effective user experience across Copper’s brand touch points, aligned with business and brand goals.. . Work collaboratively with our Principal Designer to own and evolve our design system, visual strategy, and processes championing accessibility, quality, and scalable design practices through documentation, best practices, and shared systems.. . Actively give and receive feedback, fostering a culture of collaboration, quality, and growth.. . Be a visible advocate for design and brand, representing our values both internally and externally.. . Support photo and video shoots on-set, guiding visual direction, and collaborating closely with the production crew to bring the creative vision to life.. . . What You’ll Bring. . . Proven experience in brand design spanning physical and digital touchpoints, backed by a strong portfolio showcasing attention to detail, refined aesthetics, and strategic design thinking.. . Proficiency in visual design, user experience fundamentals, art direction, and brand positioning, with the ability to navigate and contribute across disciplines.. . Comfortable collaborating with developers, and experienced using tools like Figma and GitHub.. . Strong communicator with the ability to articulate design rationale, incorporate feedback, and align with cross-functional stakeholders.. . Enthusiasm for evolving and contributing to design systems.. . Hands-on experience with the end-to-end product design process, from problem definition and information architecture to interaction and UI design.. . Commitment to accessibility, design consistency, and a high standard of craft.. . Operates with autonomy, thrives in cross-disciplinary collaboration, and values shared learning with product and engineering partners.. . The salary range for this role is $120,000 – $150,000 per year, plus equity compensation. We are committed to equitable compensation, and offer a generous benefits package to make sure you have the support you need. We cover 100% of the premiums for our employees and 50% of the premiums for their dependents on our base plans for medical, dental, and vision insurance. We offer a 401(k) plan for employees to contribute to, in addition to many other benefits.
