Overview. . The Senior Benefits and Compensation Manager is a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and managing the company’s Total Rewards strategy, encompassing benefits, compensation, and wellness programs. This position ensures competitive, compliant, and cost-effective plans that support employee well-being, talent attraction, and retention while aligning with the unique requirements of government contracting, including a deep knowledge of the Service Contract Act (SCA).. . The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, strong analytical capabilities, exceptional communication skills, and a collaborative leadership style to guide strategic decisions across the total rewards portfolio. This individual will partner with other Human Capital partners, the Finance team, Operations, and Executives to drive a data-informed, employee-focused approach to total rewards.. . Responsibilities. . Total Rewards Strategy. . . Partner with HR leadership to design and deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards strategy that aligns with business objectives, supports employee engagement, and ensures compliance with government contracting standards.. . Evaluate the effectiveness of total rewards programs—including pay, benefits, and wellness, to ensure competitiveness and alignment with organizational values and goals.. . Conduct benchmarking and market analyses to inform recommendations on compensation structures, benefits design, and total rewards enhancements.. . Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and HC Business Partners to communicate the total rewards value proposition to current and prospective employees.. . . Benefits Administration & Strategy. . . Lead the strategy, design, and administration of health & welfare plans, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), wellness, and voluntary benefits.. . Lead the annual open enrollment process, including system setup in ADP Workforce Now, employee communications, and coordination with vendors.. . Evaluate benefit plan performance, vendor service levels, and cost trends. Manage relationships with brokers, carriers, and third-party administrators to recommend plan design adjustments and cost-control strategies, negotiate renewals, and optimize coverage.. . Design and implement wellness initiatives that promote employee health, engagement, and productivity.. . Manage defined contribution and defined benefit retirement plans, ensuring compliance with ERISA and fiduciary responsibilities.. . Analyze benefit costs, utilization, and employee feedback to provide data-driven recommendations for improvement.. . Serve as the primary escalation point for complex employee benefit inquiries and vendor issues.. . . Compensation Management. . . Lead the administration of compensation programs, including salary structures, market pricing, pay ranges, annual merit cycle, and incentive programs, to ensure internal equity and market competitiveness.. . Ensure compliance FLSA, the Service Contract Act (SCA), and state/local compensation laws.. . Conduct ongoing compensation analysis, including benchmarking and modeling using industry surveys, government contracting data, and internal analytics to assess trends and recommend updates to support employee attraction and retention.. . Assist in the design and administration of long-term incentive programs (LTIPS) such as stock options and performance share programs.. . . Compliance & Reporting. . . Ensure compliance with ERISA, FMLA, COBRA, ACA, HIPAA, and SCA, as well as applicable federal and state employment laws.. . Oversee ACA filings, benefits reporting, and audit processes.. . Maintain current knowledge of evolving legislative and regulatory changes impacting benefits, compensation, and total rewards programs.. . Partner with internal audit and compliance teams to maintain documentation and reporting standards consistent with government contracting obligations.. . . Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement. . . Serve as a key advisor to HR leadership and business partners on total rewards strategy and compliance.. . Partner with HCIS to streamline processes, enhance data integrity, and expand automation, dashboards, and self-service capabilities.. . Partner cross-functionally with Payroll, Finance, and Operations to ensure consistent program delivery and adherence to policy.. . Deliver reporting, modeling, and presentations to senior leadership, including benefits and compensation trends, competitive analyses, etc.. . Develop and implement effective communication plans to increase employee understanding of benefits, compensation, and total rewards offerings.. . Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to drive innovation and efficiency in total rewards delivery.. . . Qualifications. . . Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.. . 12+ years of progressive experience in benefits and compensation management, with at least 3 years in a leadership or strategic total rewards role. Years of experience may be decreased for specialized experience and/or higher education.. . Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or other relevant professional certification strongly preferred.. . Strong working knowledge of Service Contract Act (SCA) compliance, government contracting requirements, and related Department of Labor regulations.. . Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now or comparable HRIS platforms.. . Demonstrated expertise in benefits strategy, wellness programming, and compensation analysis.. . Strong analytical and financial acumen with experience using data to drive decisions.. . Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.. . Strategic mindset with the ability to align total rewards programs to organizational goals.. . Deep understanding of compensation frameworks and market benchmarking for both SCA and non-SCA populations.. . Experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and cost-benefit analysis.. . Proven ability to manage complex projects and competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.. . Commitment to continuous improvement, compliance excellence, and employee well-being.. . Preferred - Government contracting (GovCon) experience is highly desired. , particularly supporting benefits and compensation programs within a federal compliance environment.. . . Basic Compensation: $150,000 - $175,000 yearly salary. . The salary range listed reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role at the time of posting.
