Application password: Niner. Professional Level. . Engineer 1. . Responsibilities. . . Provide full lifecycle Operations & Maintenance (O&M) support for all EASS eCMS systems, ensuring availability, stability, security, and performance of all COTS and GOTS applications  . . Support and maintain enterprise VA applications including AAMS, OOD, EAS, eCOR, FORCE, EPIC, EBSAdmin, CAD, Vendor Portal, SharePoint, SSRS, Power BI platform availability, and the Acquisition Service Bus (ASB) layer and integrations  . . Perform daily system health checks across all environments (dev/test/train/pre-prod/prod), verifying application services, web services, job services, connectivity, and operational readiness. . Monitor, maintain, and optimize Azure-based servers, Windows servers, and hosted application environments, ensuring system uptime, performance, and capacity stability. . Support High Availability and Disaster Recovery (HA/DR) readiness through regular environment validation, failover readiness checks, and coordination during failover events. . Execute and support monthly and scheduled deployment activities, including code releases, configuration updates, Knowledge Base deployments, release validation, rollback planning, and post-deployment support. . Provide Tier 2 production support, troubleshooting critical incidents, service interruptions, and system performance issues; perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions. . Perform routine platform maintenance activities including service restarts, log cleanup, disk management, certificate cleanup, vulnerability remediation, and operational optimization tasks. . Monitor and maintain application services including EPIC, IFCAP integrations, JS services, Swagger route validations, and other connected system touchpoints. . Ensure full compliance with VA security, configuration management, architecture standards, and Technical Reference Model (TRM) requirements; remediate non-compliant components and expired elements  . . Support planning, coordination, and execution of COTS/GOTS release activities including timelines, communications, stakeholder coordination, and user readiness actions  . . Support interface and integration stability across connected VA financial, acquisition, and logistics systems, ensuring reliable data exchange and functional connectivity  . . Participate in modernization and optimization initiatives, supporting improvements in reliability, performance, cloud stability, and architectural enhancements. . Develop and maintain O&M documentation including operational runbooks, release notes, environment configuration documentation, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge transfer materials. . Collaborate with development teams, vendors, infrastructure teams, and VA stakeholders to resolve complex system issues and support continuous improvement of mission systems. . Provide technical guidance and support to team members to ensure consistent, reliable, and high-quality O&M service delivery. . . Requirements. . . Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or other engineering/technical discipline (required); 8 additional years of directly relevant experience may be considered in lieu of meeting the degree requirement.. . 5+ years of relevant experience. .
