We are looking for a detail-oriented Manual QA Analyst to join our team and play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our web applications. You will be responsible for designing and executing test cases, identifying and documenting defects, and collaborating closely with developers and product stakeholders to deliver a polished user experience.. . Experience working with applications serving the United States higher education market is strongly preferred.. . Responsibilities. . . Develop and execute manual test plans and test cases for web-based applications, covering functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing. . Identify, document, and track defects through resolution using Jira. . Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing across releases. . Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project managers to clarify requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage. . Validate data integrity by writing and running SQL queries against application databases. . Gather log information from the web servers to assist in troubleshooting. . Use Chrome Dev Tools to inspect network requests, diagnose front-end issues, and validate application behavior. . Monitor and verify build deployments through Jenkins CI/CD pipelines. . Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives as part of an Agile team. . Create and maintain QA documentation, test plans, and knowledge base articles in Confluence. . Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and documentation. . . Required Qualifications. . . 3+ years of experience in manual QA testing of web applications. . Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies. . Hands-on experience with Jira for defect tracking and test management. . Proficiency with Chrome Dev Tools for debugging and inspecting web applications. . Strong SQL skills for backend data verification and validation. . Familiarity with Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools. . Experience using Confluence for documentation and knowledge sharing. . Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document test results and defect reports. . Comfortable working in Windows-based development and testing environments. . Self-motivated and able to work effectively in both remote and on-site settings. . . Preferred Qualifications. . . Experience working with applications in the U.S. higher education sector (student information systems, admissions, financial aid, enrollment management, etc.). . Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development practices. . Experience with cross-browser and responsive design testing. . Experience testing RESTful APIs with Postman or similar tools. . Experience with the Playwright test automation framework. . Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services. . Experience using AI tools to speed the building of test plan documentation. .
