USD 150,000 - USD 170,000. Type: Full-Time. Reports to: Director, Accounting. . The Role. . We are seeking a Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting to join the growing Corporate Accounting team at Nex. This is a high-impact role for a hands-on accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced and data-driven environment, while navigating challenges to help build a disciplined and scalable revenue and royalties accounting foundation as Nex expands across multiple channels and global markets.. . In this role, you will own key areas of the monthly revenue close, lead complex deferred revenue schedules and associated reconciliations, and help establish robust accounting policies, controls, and reporting processes. The position requires strong ASC 606 expertise, a high degree of skill working with large data sets, the ability to manage competing priorities, and a continuous-improvement mindset.. . You will partner closely with the FinOps, Supply Chain, Fulfillment, Business Systems and FP&A to ensure data integrity and audit readiness, while driving process automation and cross-functional alignment as the company continues to scale.. . What You’ll Do. . . Lead and execute the month-end revenue and royalties close process. , coordinating with internal teams and outsourced accounting advisors to ensure timely, accurate, and complete financial reporting.. . Own Technical Revenue Accounting.  . policy and procedure, ensuring revenue recognition models comply with ASC 606; continuously monitor company activities to ensure company revenue policy keeps pace with the growth the company. . Review complex balance sheet reconciliations. , including accounts receivable, deferred revenue, accrued royalties and any associated prepaids, ensuring accuracy and maintaining audit-ready supporting documentation.. . Prepare and manage audit support for assigned areas. , including developing audit-ready schedules, responding to auditor requests, and ensuring timely resolution of inquiries.. . Drive improvements to accounting processes, systems and data workflows. , leveraging Excel, AI tools, Power Query, and automation or BI tools to reduce manual effort and enhance data accuracy. Play a critical role in the company’s evolution of data systems, working cross-functionally with Data Analytics and Engineering teams. Explore and make recommendations on systems solutions ****to automate and scale the revenue recognition, royalty calculations and the preparation of partner reporting. . Collaborate cross-functionally.  with FinOps, Supply Chain, and Fulfillment teams to validate revenue accounting data flows and ensure consistent treatment across operational systems.. . Assist with the implementation and optimization of ERP and business systems.  to support scalable revenue accounting processes as the company grows.. . . What You Bring. . . 10+ years.  of progressive accounting experience, 4+ years of people management. . Ideally within entertainment, consumer electronics, e-commerce, or hardware businesses & early stage startup experience. . Strong technical knowledge of the U.S. . GAAP, debits and credits. , with an emphasis on ASC 606 and ASC 340-40. . Advanced Excel and data skills with ability to analyze and reconcile large data sets.. . Experience with . ERP systems.  (NetSuite, including NetSuite ARM preferred). Experience with accounting software systems such as . Blackline.  and . FloQast.  is a bonus. Familiarity with . Stripe, POSA/Gift Cards,.  . Shopify, Amazon Seller Central,.  and various retailer sales and fulfillment systems.. . Experience with royalty contracts and calculations within the consumer media and entertainment industry (including mobile and video games). . Previous experience managing the design and implementation of sales data automation solutions; demonstrated track record of process improvement and building scalable accounting operations. . Exceptional attention to detail, ability to work independently, ownership mentality, and ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment.. .
