Full-Stack Web Developer (Security + OCR). . . About the role: . . We are looking for a developer who can take prototypes to a secure, scalable, production-ready product along side maintenance, bug fixes, & feature additions post launch. . . . . . . Current stack: . . React & Node.js on Vercel + Supabase. . . . . . Core work: . . Audit & lock down security — this is the #1 priority.. . Build an OCR pipeline that extracts structured data from images/documents into a secure database. . Refactor existing prototype for scale and reliability without unnecessary rewrites. . . . . . Must have: . . 3+ years shipping production React + Node.js applications. . A portfolio of shipped web apps — share links and a short note on your role and what you built. . Real security experience — auth (OAuth2/JWT), input validation, rate limiting, secrets/env hygiene, encryption at rest & in transit, OWASP Top 10 awareness, and genuinely understanding how apps get breached. . Hands-on OCR / document data-extraction experience (Preferably experience with tesseract). . Strong backend fundamentals — API design, PostgreSQL data modeling, async job processing. . Scaling fundamentals — caching (Redis), queueing, horizontal scaling. . Comfortable on Vercel + Railway and modern CI/CD. . Strong English, written and verb. . . . . . Nice to have: . . Security audit / pentest awareness. . Infrastructure-as-code, monitoring and observability. . Experience migrating off PaaS toward more scalable infra when warranted. . . . . .
