Overview. . . . . . . . Two Six Technologies is seeking a . Senior Software Engineer - Backend Developer. to actively participate in the design, build, test, implementation, and sustainment phases of a sensor data aggregation product. In this role, you will join a research and product development team and will be responsible for building and maintaining relevant applications, services, APIs, and user-interfaces related to cloud-hosted data management platforms. The ideal candidate for this position will be a self-starter that has a passion for learning, and has a history of working very closely with data. This is a full time, remote position. . . What  you will do: . . . Leverage experience with the principles of large-scale (terabytes) database development, data modeling, data mapping, data testing, data quality, and technical data GUI UI/UX. . Utilization of open source libraries to extract, transform, and load (ETL) complex datasets. . Design and develop related web-based user-interfaces. . Provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements in existing systems and platforms. . Work directly with users in the field to implement new features and debug issues. . Provide technical/functional guidance, and support to other team members. . Work closely with product owners and managers to develop engineering roadmaps. . Develop and support features on both the backend and frontend. . .  . . Minimum Qualifications:. . . Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of software engineering experience or comparable education and relevant experience. . Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Python, Java, Javascript . . Minimum of 2 years of experience in building and maintaining ETL workflows and data pipelines. . Experience with AWS (S3) or similar cloud-based infrastructure. . Experience working with data in relational databases. . Experience with full-stack development, including but not limited to working with APIs, javascript frameworks, and relational databases, with focus on backend development. . Excellent verbal and written communication skills. . .  Nice If you have:. . . Experience with Cassandra, React, Kafka, Grafana. . Experience using Git and Jira in a development workflow. .
