The Vice President of Market Access will lead the strategic development and execution of market access initiatives to ensure the successful commercialization of MM120 and future pipeline products in the mental health space. This pivotal role will oversee trade and distribution, hub service models, government pricing and reporting, gross-to-net strategies, pricing and contracting, and field execution, with a strong focus on ensuring patient access to MM120. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, creative leader with a proven track record in pharmaceutical market access, deep expertise in mental health or specialty therapeutics, and the ability to thrive in a startup environment. They will engage closely with Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategies (REMS) to ensure alignment and compliance, while building exceptional teams and driving innovative solutions.. . Responsibilities:. . . Market Access Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive market access strategy for MM120, securing formulary placement, reimbursement, and patient access across commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid payers, aligned with MindMed’s mission and regulatory landscape. Leverage industry best practices, such as early payer engagement and value-based contracting, to secure favorable coverage. . Trade & Distribution: Establish and manage relationships with 3PL, wholesalers, and specialty pharmacies to ensure efficient, compliant, and scalable distribution of MM120. . Hub Service Model: Oversee the design and implementation of a patient-centric hub service model, emphasizing adherence and affordability tailored to mental health patients, to maximize access and support. . Government Pricing & Reporting: Ensure compliance with government pricing regulations (e.g., ASP, AMP, Medicaid, Medicare rebates, 340B), overseeing accurate reporting and strategic pricing decisions. . Gross-to-Net (GTN) Strategy: Lead GTN forecasting and analysis to optimize financial performance and inform pricing and contracting strategies. . Pricing & Contracting: Develop innovative pricing models and negotiate contracts with payers and GPO/PBMs to balance market penetration and profitability, drawing on proven strategies from specialty therapeutic launches. . Field Execution: Drive field-based market access initiatives, collaborating with sales and medical teams to ensure effective pull-through and stakeholder engagement. . REMS Engagement: Work closely with regulatory and medical teams to align market access strategies with REMS requirements for MM120, ensuring compliance and seamless integration without direct implementation responsibilities. . DEA Rescheduling: Leverage experience with DEA rescheduling processes to navigate regulatory complexities for controlled substances, ensuring market readiness. . Patient Access Leadership: Champion equitable patient access to MM120, addressing barriers through innovative reimbursement and support programs. . Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing, lean market access team suited for a startup environment, fostering collaboration, innovation, and accountability. . Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with commercial, regulatory, medical, legal, and finance teams to align market access strategies with company goals. . Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, or related field; advanced degree (MBA, PharmD, or equivalent) preferred. . Experience:. . . 12+ years in pharmaceutical market access, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role, ideally in psychiatry/mental health, neurology, or specialty therapeutics. . Proven success in trade and distribution, hub services, government pricing, GTN strategies, pricing, contracting, and field execution. . Experience engaging with REMS programs to ensure compliance and alignment with market access goals. . Prior success navigating DEA rescheduling for controlled substances is highly desirable. . Compensation will be determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, skill set, years of experience, and the employee’s geographic location.. .
