We are seeking a dynamic Product Manager who will play a vital role in the success of the IT/Product Modernization for one of the largest public repositories of high-throughput data sequencing. The ideal candidate will guide product success, define vision, and prioritize government customer requirements. You will collaborate to meet contract deliverables and ensure customer satisfaction. In this role, you will work 50% with a Product Team and 50% with the Customer Experience/Stakeholder Engagement team. Working with the Product Team, you will ensure continued alignment of the software Product with the overall Product Modernization roadmap and provide transparent communication and management of the Product Roadmap. As part of the Customer Experience/Stakeholder Engagement team, you will conduct customer outreach, analyze market trends, conduct competitive analysis, and develop strategies to increase SRA platform usage. Understand goals and outcomes for this highly visible data sequencing initiative.. . Work closely with the Customer Experience team and incorporate learnings from outreach into SRA Product Roadmaps. . Drive product roadmap to meet milestones and timelines to stay aligned with high-visibility deliverables. . Facilitate sprint planning and backlog grooming activities within the product team in order to drive timely product releases. . Prepare and review product requirements documents, establish success criteria, and KPIs. . Conduct user research to gather insights on user needs and preferences. . Conduct market research, audit current assets and their impact, competitor analysis, and distill that into insights that inform strategy and decisions. . Compile findings into actionable requirements for the product roadmap in collaboration with product owners. . Organize product releases properly and ensure compliance with the schedule. . Development of risk assessments and risk mitigation countermeasures. . Compile findings into actionable requirements for the updated data model development. . Prioritize requirements based on business goals and user needs. . Measure the impact of the initiative on users’ sentiment. . Plan outreach activities to engage stakeholders and users. . Cross-team collaboration amongst multiple product/development teams. . . Education and Experience. . . 5+ years of experience in software product management. . 5+ years of experience with Jira and agile methodology. . Experience leading and developing KPIs, executive reporting, and stakeholder management. . Experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, MURAL. . Comfortable leading strategy and discovery sessions with multiple stakeholders. . Able to synthesize complex data into actionable insights. . Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree desired. . Qualified candidates will have some combination of these certifications: . . Product Management certifications and experience. .
