As an Application Integration Engineer on Ridgeline’s Internal IT team, you will design and implement comprehensive integrations that connect our internal systems and support our company’s growth. Your work will help reduce friction, improve security, and automate essential business functions. You'll partner with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and deliver thoughtful, consistent solutions using modern cloud platforms like AWS and AI tools including ChatGPT and Glean Agent. You’ll be encouraged to experiment, bring new ideas to the table, and help guide teammates to deliver secure, high-quality outcomes.. . What will you do?. . . Build reliable and adaptable integrations to support a wide range of business needs. . Partner closely with Security, HR, Legal, and other departments to understand workflows and identify opportunities for automation. . Engage in the entire development process from requirements gathering to deployment and testing. . Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to design scalable and secure integration approaches. . Apply AI technologies to boost internal productivity and streamline processes. . Implement thoughtful practices for secure data handling, API integrations, and system monitoring. . Share knowledge and offer guidance to team members to elevate quality across the group. . Evaluate and connect with third-party services and platforms at scale. . Stay informed on evolving cloud technologies and contribute innovative ideas to the team. . Document and maintain systems to support transparency and team understanding. . . Desired Skills and Experience. . . 5+ years in a software engineering role focused on system integration, automation, or internal tools. . Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience. . Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Java/Kotlin, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go); Python preferred. . Experience building integrations with RESTful APIs. . Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Aurora) and effective SQL skills. . Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, S3, and API Gateway. . Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like GitHub Actions, and container build/deploy tools. . Understanding of Agile methodologies and tools like Jira or Asana. . Interest in automation and continuous improvement of systems and processes. . Clear communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in accessible ways. . Experience supporting team members through mentoring, guidance, or collaboration. . . Bonus:. . . Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform. . Familiarity with low-code iPaaS tools such as Workato or Okta Workflows. . Hands-on experience with identity and access management tools like Okta. . The cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $145,000 - $170,000. Final compensation amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amount listed above. . .
