Spanish Localization & AI Content Specialist (Project-Base Temporary Contract) at Meru Health. . Location: Remote. About the Role. . We’re looking for a . Spanish Localization & AI Content Specialist. to support the localization of Meru Health’s 12-week digital mental health program into Spanish. This is a . temporary, project-based role. ideal for someone passionate about language, cross-cultural communication, and the ethical use of AI in healthcare.. . In this role, you’ll work closely with our product and clinical teams to ensure all content, guided meditations, and video lessons — is accurately and meaningfully translated and adapted for a Spanish-speaking audience. You’ll also use generative AI tools to help recreate audio and video content in Spanish.. . This is a . temporary, project-based contractor role. with an estimated duration of . 2-3 months. . The role is . fully remote. . We are offering a fixed project fee of . $8,000 USD. for this project. This fee is not based on an hourly rate, but our best estimate suggests it will take a total of around 300 hours to complete. This is based on the following breakdown:. . . 104 videos, with an estimated 2 hours of translation and video editing work per video (200 hours total).. . 100 audio clips, with an estimated 1 hour of translation work per clip (100 hours total).. . . Key Responsibilities. . . Translate app microcopy, program content, and therapeutic materials from English to Spanish.. . Extract transcripts from English audio and video files and translate them into clear, culturally appropriate Spanish.. . Use AI tools to generate Spanish-language audio and video from translated scripts.. . Collaborate with our Spanish-speaking therapists to validate and refine translations, ensuring accuracy and emotional nuance.. . Edit and reassemble audio and video content in Spanish, maintaining a high standard of production quality.. . Ensure consistency in tone, terminology, and messaging across all translated materials.. . . What We’re Looking For. . . Fluent in both Spanish and English. — native Spanish speaker strongly preferred.. . Strong experience in . translation/localization. , preferably in mental health, wellness, or healthcare settings.. . Familiarity with . AI dubbing, text-to-speech tools. , and basic . video/audio editing. (e.g. Descript, Premiere, or similar).. . A keen eye for design and some experience in visual communication are preferred.. . Exceptional attention to detail and sensitivity to cultural and emotional nuance.. . Strong communication and collaboration skills — you’ll be working with therapists, product teams, and content leads.. . Passion for mental health, mindfulness, and ethical use of technology.. . .
