We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead Engine’s Billing team, part of our Fintech org. This team powers the financial backbone of our platform-managing credit applications, underwriting, invoicing, and payment flows that support a large share of customer bookings. Today, about 40% of all travel is booked on Engine using credit, and the team is expanding capabilities with new products like a corporate card linked to company credit lines, complete with advanced administrative controls. You’ll guide the rebuild of critical systems that handle everything from onboarding and statements to disputes, collections, and ledger integrations—ensuring reliability, scalability, and compliance while shaping the future of how businesses access and manage travel credit.. . We’re looking for someone who’s ready to make an impact and grow alongside us:. . Experience: 5+ years of experience in engineering, with at least 5 years in a management role. Proven track record of successfully leading engineering teams and delivering complex projects.. . . Skills: . Strong leadership and team-building abilities with a focus on driving performance and results. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.. . Tech-Savvy: . Strong technical foundation with expertise in at least one of TypeScript/Node.js, Java/Kotlin, or Ruby on Rails, plus experience working with AWS and Datadog.. Education: . Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).. Mindset: . Deep understanding of agile software development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.). Our compensation packages are based on several factors, including your experience and expertise. In addition to a competitive base salary, total compensation may include equity and/or variable pay (OTE).
