Job Overview. . The Impact Strategy Analyst will play a critical role in shaping our work to integrate human rights/impacts (“human impacts”) considerations into SFM’s investment process. This position will inform and help deliver on SFM’s forced and child labor strategy with an eye toward deepening our work across human impacts more broadly. The position will focus on the identification and mitigation of risks associated with human rights violations as part of the investment process. Through direct engagement with companies and other stakeholders, the role will also drive a dialogue that advocates for pragmatic yet impactful positive change in company and supply chain practices. Applicants should bring a hands-on results-oriented approach to helping develop and execute upon a strategy for managing human impact risks and identifying real-world solutions with a focus on engagement.. .              . . Major Responsibilities. . . Impact Analysis and Strategic Support:. Develop and implement strategies that enable SFM to evaluate risks related to society, human rights, labor practices and responsible supply chain management in our investment portfolio.. . Real World Knowledge:. Through experience with corporate supply chain and human impact practices, bring pragmatic solutions for engaging with corporates and stakeholders to drive real world progress and identify key drivers of systemic change.. . Research and Information:. Help identify sources of data and information to inform the investment process and provide actionable ideas to drive portfolio company diligence and engagement processes.. . Corporate Engagement: . Ensure human impact strategy is integrated into SFM’s corporate engagement and proxy voting process. Provide ideas for and lead on the execution of thoughtful engagement with corporates to advocate for improved human rights and labor practices. Facilitate dialogues that encourage companies to adopt ethical practices and enhance their impact on society as well as their business strategies.. . Investment Team Engagement and Collaboration. : Listen to investment team members and collaborate with them to integrate their feedback into impact considerations, and impact into their decision-making. Provide internal thought leadership and where necessary, information on human rights and labor standards to ensure human impact risks are understood in the investment context.. . Human Rights and Labor Best Practice Monitoring and Contribution. : Monitor global human rights and labor practices to identify emerging themes. Develop frameworks for ongoing human impact risk assessments. Support internal governance and compliance against frameworks. Share our learnings and best practices with others.. . Reporting and Communication. : Work closely with the ESG Data Analyst to develop, measure and track portfolio human impact metrics. Communicate findings and recommendations to internal teams and external stakeholders, demonstrating SFM’s commitment to investing in alignment with OSF’s mission and stated areas of focus.. . Advocacy and Thought Leadership. : Identify and engage with external experts, networks and other stakeholders to inform the ongoing priorities for impact, the continued enhancement of SFM’s work and sharing our work with others.. . .  . . What We Value  . . . Experience:. Approximately 5+ years of experience and demonstrated career growth working in aspects of human rights, corporate responsibility, supply chain accountability, human impact due diligence or impact investing with a focus on these themes. Proven track record of engaging with corporates on ethical and human rights issues is highly desirable.. . Skills:. . . Strong research and analytical skills, able to assess complex global human rights and labor issues. . Ability to inform day-to-day decisions around human rights and social impacts in the investment process that build towards long-term ambitions. . Knowledge of best practices on labor and human rights in supply chains and across geographies. . Ability to translate research on human rights issues into pragmatic corporate engagement on nuanced and developing topics such as responsible AI/technology, inclusion and equity, forced labor and other emerging social themes.. . Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders and guide conversations on complex topics.. . Experience in developing, executing and delivering results on strategic initiatives related to corporates and human impact themes.. . Deep understanding of global human rights standards, labor laws and ethical investment practices. Familiarity with sustainability and environmental consideration is preferred.. .
