The Student Affairs and Student Services team focuses on creating a safe, inclusive, and meaningful experience for all Relay students and alumni. The Admissions and Enrollment team is responsible for guiding prospective students through the entire journey from initial interest in Relay to enrollment, ensuring a seamless and supportive student experience. Reporting to the Director, Admissions and Enrollment and collaborating closely with the Student Success, Registrar, and Student Financial Services teams, the Coordinator, Admissions and Enrollment applies a sales mindset, customer service best practices, data-driven decision making, and process discipline to convert leads into enrolled students. This coordinator builds relationships, communicates effectively, and executes disciplined follow-up, objection handling, and coaching to support applicants throughout the admissions process. This role is integral to supporting Relay’s growth goals and mission to prepare educators and leaders.. . DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES . . The essential responsibilities of this position, while not limited to the following, will include: . . Prospective Student Engagement and Conversion (50%). . . Use effective messaging and persuasive techniques to convert qualified prospective students into active applicants.. . Execute dissemination of targeted, segment-specific outreach campaigns (e.g., by state, program, or enrollment status) to maximize conversion and re-engagement.. . Handle and overcome prospect objections with empathy and strategic messaging throughout the admissions process to convert prospective students and meet conversion and enrollment goals.. . Build rapport with applicants and troubleshoot questions or barriers regarding enrollment to support a smooth admissions process.. . Use standardized communication templates and outreach timelines to ensure consistent follow-up with leads and applicants.. . Tailor outreach and messaging by student segment (eg state, program type, etc.) to increase lead conversion and re-enrollment effectiveness.. . Meet or exceed responsiveness and satisfaction benchmarks across communication platforms, ensuring a high-quality applicant experience.. . Support outreach to returning students (Leave of Absence, Withdrawn) in collaboration with Student Success and Registrar to re-engage and convert them back to enrolled status.. . . Application and Enrollment Pipeline Support (25%). . . Serve as a first point of contact for applicants via phone, email, text, and virtual meetings to ensure accessible and welcoming engagement.. . Guide prospective students through application steps, document submission, and enrollment logistics to ensure clarity and reduce confusion.. . Offer clear explanations of requirements for admission and student experience (i.e. tuition, deadlines, financial aid, academic, certification options, Relay’s curriculum, orientation structure, graduation/completion outcomes, and retention data) to prospective students.. . Track applicant progress through the enrollment funnel using CRM tools to ensure timely follow-up and accurate pipeline management.. . Monitor assigned prospective student portfolio conversion metrics, providing status updates to inform team decision-making and improve processes.. . Maintain accurate and up-to-date applicant records in systems such as Slate and Happy Fox to ensure data integrity and support data-driven decision making.. . Participate in remote sessions and activities as needed to support prospective and re-enrolling students.. . . Cross-Team Collaboration (25%). . . Collaborate with staff across teams to remove barriers to enrollment and improve applicant experiences.. . Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy and alignment of admissions-related messaging, timelines, and support materials.. . Participate in internal meetings and case reviews to share insights that inform applicant support and admissions strategies.. . Share observations and feedback to help improve team materials and workflows, enhancing the applicant journey.. . Other (duties, projects, tasks) as assigned in support of the team’s goals. . . QUALIFICATIONS. . Additionally, for this position, we’re looking for candidates that possess a combination of the following skills:. . . 1–2 years of experience in customer service, student support, admissions, or administrative roles.. . Excellent communication skills across platforms (email, phone, video).. . Evidence of strong organizational skills and attention to detail.. . Proficient with common technology tools (e.g., Google Suite, video conferencing).. . Comfort using or learning CRM tools such as Slate or Happy Fox.. . Demonstrated commitment to supporting diverse communities and creating inclusive experiences.. . . Preferred Qualifications: . . . Experience in a higher education or PK–12 school setting.. . Familiarity with admissions/enrollment processes or systems such as Slate, Anthology, Happy Fox/CRM.. . Bilingual or multilingual communication skills.. . . New hires will be offered a salary at the starting point of the range, $55,000, to allow for an equitable starting salary process and continual salary growth during an employee’s time at Relay GSE.. .
