The Risk & Chargeback Analyst 1 is responsible for monitoring the processing activity of our portfolio, and investigating unusual or suspicious activity. Additionally, the analyst will review and respond to Chargeback disputes. The ideal candidate will have experience in reviewing and researching fraud alerts to prevent and detect unusual activity. In addition, the candidate will have experience in the research and analysis of supporting documentation. Strong time management skills, decision-making, and the ability to effectively prioritize tasks is critical for this role.. . On a daily basis, you will:. . . Review and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly merchant activity for increased credit risk and fraud threats.. . Proactively monitor all merchant activities for compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations and policies.. . Investigate abnormal merchant activity and recommend appropriate actions.. . Ensure that all activities are performed in compliance with federal, state and Bank Secrecy Act regulatory requirements.. . Document within the appropriate systems detailed notes including daily activity, phone calls and verification notes.. . Review dispute documentation, educate merchants on best practices, and make recommendations on dispute actions. . . Communicate risk decisions effectively in both verbal and written communication to merchants, agent offices and management.. . Work closely with other teams within the organization to recommend and implement fraud prevention and detection measures. . . Perform other duties and projects as assigned.. . . What skill are we searching for? . . . 1-3 years relevant work experience in the merchant processing industry.. . Willing to come into our Kraków office 3 times per week.. . Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.. . Experience with various risk monitoring systems a plus.. . Familiar with card brand rules and best practices.. . Excellent research skills.. . Proven ability in providing excellent customer service.. . Strong decision-making skills.. . Detail oriented and strong prioritization skills.. . Time Management.. .
