Senior Program Manager. , you will be responsible for leading the delivery of our three core programs: the Founder Academy, Freelancer Academy, and Incubator.. . You will directly manage the Program Managers for each of these verticals, ensuring operational excellence, learner success, and programmatic impact. You may also play a more hands-on role with the Incubator, shaping our approach to founder selection, coaching, and venture support. This is a senior leadership role at the heart of ALX Ventures’ mission, requiring strong execution, cross-functional collaboration, and a deep commitment to the success of our entrepreneurs.. . RESPONSIBILITIES. . Operational Blueprint. . . Lead the design and continuous refinement of the operational blueprint for delivering the Founder Academy, Freelancer Academy, and Incubator at scale.. . Oversee the implementation of this blueprint across programs and adapt based on feedback, data insights, and evolving business needs.. . . Stakeholder Coordination and Systems Management. . . Serve as the main point of contact for internal stakeholders (e.g. Selection, Learning Design, Engineering, Product, Data, Marketing, City Teams) to ensure coordination and alignment across the entire learner journey.. . Proactively identify and remove bottlenecks or silos across the academies, while cascading learnings to senior leadership and the wider team.. . Collaborate with technical teams to ensure the LMS, Portal, and communication tools are optimized and analytics-ready to support effective learner engagement and program management.. . . Learner Experience and Support Ecosystem. . . Shape and implement a cohesive end-to-end learner experience across all three academies, incorporating mental health support, safeguarding, community engagement, mentorship, and career services.. . Serve as the decision-maker in complex learner situations (e.g., eligibility issues, learner misconduct), ensuring alignment with our learner code of conduct and values.. . Continuously refine learner-facing policies and touchpoints based on learner feedback and outcome tracking.. . . Program Management & Stakeholder Engagement. . . Own the program calendar and oversee cohort scheduling and rollouts, working closely with PMs and cross-functional teams to deliver consistent experiences.. . Ensure the smooth delivery of concurrent program cohorts by supporting PMs in operational planning, execution, and troubleshooting.. . Establish collaborative relationships with teams such as Curriculum, Selection, City Teams, Marketing, and Talent Experience to ensure programs are aligned and high-performing.. . Liaise with external stakeholders (e.g., exam providers, credentialing bodies) to manage resources like licenses and certifications, particularly for technical or partner-supported tracks.. . . People Management. . . Directly manage Program Managers for each academy, coaching and mentoring them to lead with ownership, adaptability, and learner-centric thinking.. . Set and track clear KPIs across the delivery team and ensure alignment with the goals of each program vertical.. . Lead hiring efforts for key delivery roles, and design growth pathways and professional development plans for all team members within the delivery organization.. . . Data, Insights, and Reporting. . . Collaborate with the Data team to ensure robust data capture on learner progress, completion, and outcomes across all programs.. . Work with leadership to define and track success metrics for each program vertical, including learner NPS, graduation rates, venture creation, freelance income, or investment secured.. . Synthesize data and learner feedback to continuously inform strategic decisions and improve program quality.. . Provide regular reports and insights to the Director of Talent Readiness and ALX senior leadership, serving as the owner of delivery performance across ALX Ventures programs.. . . Product Ownership and Program Development. . . Serve as product owner for new or evolving learning streams, especially in areas of venture acceleration and founder development.. . Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Curriculum, Design, Marketing, Community) to ensure program-market fit and a compelling value proposition for learners.. . Maintain and evolve program roadmaps in response to learner outcomes, market signals, and emerging opportunities.. . Ensure that the voice of the learner and founder is central in all program development and iteration efforts.. . . REQUIREMENTS. . Essential. . . 7+ years of experience in program management or operations in early-stage venture ecosystems, startup accelerators, or founder support programs.. . Past experience founding or co-founding a technology startup.. . Deep familiarity with the venture ecosystem of at least one of our core 8 hub markets (Johannesburg, Kigali, Nairobi, Addis Ababa, Cairo, Casablanca, Accra and Lagos).. . Proven track record leading cross-functional teams and managing program operations across multiple countries in a remote or hybrid work environment.. . Strong people management experience with a focus on coaching, accountability, and culture-building.. . Ability to synthesize data and insights into operational improvements and executive-level reporting.. . Experience managing simultaneous projects or cohorts in fast-paced environments.. . Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.. . . Preferable. . . Experience in securing venture capital or participating first-hand in a world-class startup incubator, accelerator or venture studio.. .
