Process semi-monthly payroll for multi-state employees in compliance with company policies and applicable wage and hour laws. . Partner with Practice Managers and department leaders to ensure timecards are reviewed, approved, and closed accurately prior to payroll submission. . Audit timekeeping data for accuracy, including overtime, PTO, bonuses, commissions, and other variable pay components. . Process final pay in accordance with varying state-specific final pay laws, including voluntary and involuntary separations. . Interpret and apply state wage payment regulations to ensure compliance and mitigate risk. . Maintain payroll records and ensure proper documentation for audits and internal review. . Coordinate payroll-related changes including new hires, terminations, pay changes, and entity transfers. . Assist with benefit deductions, garnishments, tax withholdings, and payroll adjustments as needed. . Partner with HR on onboarding, offboarding, and leave-related pay impacts. . Support benefits administration processes as needed, including payroll deductions and reconciliations. . Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner. . When payroll processing is not in progress, the Payroll Processor will support HR-related tasks and projects as needed.. . Other duties as assigned. . . Required Qualifications: . . . 3–4 years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a multi-state environment. . Strong knowledge of federal and state wage and hour laws, including final pay requirements. . Experience processing payroll from start to finish, including timecard auditing and payroll reconciliation. . Ability to interpret and apply compliance regulations accurately. . High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality. . Strong communication skills and ability to partner cross-functionally. . . Preferred but Not Required:. . . Experience processing payroll in the Paychex platform. . Multi-entity payroll experience. . . . Physical Demands:. . . Must be able to sit or stand intermittently for the duration of a shift (8-12 hours). . Push/pull/lift up to 25 pounds. . . Benefits. . . Insurance: .
