We’re looking for a . Social Media Intern.  to help bring the channel to life through trend monitoring, community engagement, content support, and weekly reporting. This is a remote, hands-on role with mentorship and clear project-based goals..  . .  . . Key Responsibilities.  . . . Support the day-to-day management of the . @GoDaddyNews.  Instagram channel, including publishing support (captions, hashtags, alt text, tagging) and basic scheduling with oversight..  . . . . Monitor social trends and platform moments relevant to an 18–34 audience; bring weekly ideas for Reels, Stories, carousels, and interactive stickers (polls, quizzes, Q&As)..  . . . . Execute community engagement tasks under guidance (responding to comments, identifying relevant accounts to follow, and proposing meaningful engagements) while following an approved engagement playbook..  . . . . Assist with content development: research, drafting short-form copy, selecting existing brand-approved assets, and creating simple content briefs for designers or editors..  . . . . Track performance and compile weekly snapshots (follower growth, reach/impressions, engagements, top posts, and learnings) with clear takeaways and next-step recommendations..  . . . . Collaborate with PR teammates and cross-functional partners (brand, social, legal, customer care) to ensure content is accurate, on-brand, and aligned to channel goals..  . . . . Follow publishing and governance guidelines (brand voice, privacy, accessibility, disclosures, and information security) and escalate sensitive community issues to the PR lead..  . . .  . . How to report social performance with clear insights and recommendations (not just metrics)..  . . .  . . Required Qualifications.  . . . Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field (or equivalent experience/portfolio)..  . . . . Demonstrated interest in social media and creator/internet culture; familiarity with Instagram formats (Reels, Stories, carousels) and what drives engagement..  . . . . Strong writing and editing skills for short-form copy (captions, headlines, on-screen text) with attention to tone and accuracy..  . . . . Reliable, self-directed, and comfortable working remotely (organized, responsive, and able to manage deadlines across time zones)..  . . .  . . Preferred Qualifications.  . . . Prior experience managing a social account (school org, internship, personal project, or creator work) and/or a portfolio of content you can share..  . . . . Experience with social publishing and analytics tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite) and comfort pulling basic performance metrics..  . . . . Basic design/video editing skills (Canva, Adobe Express, CapCut, Premiere, or similar) and familiarity with accessibility best practices (captions, alt text)..  . . . .
