Operations will lead a motivated team of associates, provide support to volunteer leaders in daily execution of the goals and objectives of the organization. This requires a detailed understanding of all specific functions within the Operations Department. This Manager will be . assigned. geographic areas to build and motivate teams. This Manager will have a solid knowledge of the incident command system and . expertise. in . the planning. , mobilization, and demobilization operations. The Manager, Operations will . be responsible for. driving delivery of Team Rubicon Services and capabilities and for . establishing. and prioritizing the growth strategy for volunteer and community relationships in the West Branch. . . This role involves managing resources, finances, personnel issues, and administrative functions to support the organization’s mission and goals..  . . Deputy Director, Operations (West Branch). and is based out of Seattle, WA; Denver, CO; Portland, OR; Las Vegas, NV; Phoenix, AZ; Santa Fe, NM, or Salt Lake City, UT.. . Duties:. . . Manage the assigned budget, ensuring . appropriate resource. allocation and financial goal achievement.. . Provide leadership and team management by supervising, . mentoring. and developing assigned staff by setting clear goals and expectations, providing constructive feedback, and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment..  . . Evaluate individual staff and team performance and make decisions to improve staff performance, productivity. ,. and efficiency.. . Execute . purchasing. and expenses per the Branch budget plan.. . Assist. with planning and budgeting in line with operational tempo and oversee procurement and distribution of supplies and equipment.. . Support personnel recruitment, deployment, and well-being in all aspects of the disaster cycle, managing schedules and work rotations.. . Assist. in developing QCPC team goals, . provide. specific feedback, and . solicit. regular input.. . Support Volunteer Management in resolving personnel conflicts.. . Participate in Participation Status Committees as needed.. . Lead the leadership lifecycle program, including recruiting, onboarding, and developing . Greyshirt. . volunteer leaders.. . Support department needs during surges to address operational gaps.. . Build and . maintain. relationships with donors, partners, and volunteers.. . Lead capacity-building efforts, local relationship growth, disaster operations, and cross-functional collaboration.. . Collaborate across the department as needed to meet goals and . objectives. .. . Organize and . participate. in training and simulations for disaster response teams.. . Coordinate/. m. anage disaster response operations, including resource and personnel deployment.. . Coordinate with volunteer organizations and partners to maximize resources.. . Function as an Agency Executive.. . As needed, provide EOC support and disaster response coordination across relevant agencies.  . . . Education and Background:. . . 5-7 years of relevant professional experience in the military, disaster response, emergency management or first responder fields. . Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration or related field preferred. . Proven record of personnel management experience such as recruiting, managing, training, and developing employees and volunteers. . Proficient with technology tools and in remote working for communicating and coordinating with a large network of TR staff members, Greyshirts (volunteers), and external stakeholders. . Successful past performance in leading volunteers is highly desired. . . Special Requirements: . . . This is a full-time; . REMOTE. position and can be based out of the following locations: Seattle, WA; Denver, CO; Portland, OR; Las Vegas, NV; Phoenix, AZ; Santa Fe, NM, or Salt Lake City, UT and provides a flexible & non-traditional work schedule (relocation expenses not provided). . Evening and weekend schedule supporting leadership meetings, video conferences, events, and operations. . Local Travel: Reliable transportation is required. The person filling this position will be expected to travel within their local area to support ongoing efforts. . Other Travel: At least 25% non-local travel to support broader organizational activities focused within the assigned territory. . . Job Type: . . . Full-time; salary, exempt. . .
