Intern in the . Multimedia team of the Communications Department. of the ACLU’s National office. . This is a remote position that can be part-time or full-time. . The ACLU Communications department creates, maintains, and expands message narratives to engage our supporters and other target audiences, to help protect and expand civil liberties and civil rights, and also illustrate the value and impact of the ACLU’s transformational work. Through our messaging, engagement with newsmakers, our written, video and audio storytelling, and visual identity, we encourage support for the ACLU and help to build a more perfect union.. . What You’ll Do:. . The Podcast intern is an integral member of the Multimedia team. They support the team by doing research, drafting scripts, assisting during interview recording sessions and field recordings, copy-editing transcriptions, editing promotional video clips, and participating in brainstorming and meetings.. . Your Day to Day. . . Assist with recording, editing, copy-editing, and publishing podcast episodes.. . Organize and maintain podcast assets (e.g. audio files, transcripts, graphics, and promos).. . Support with on-location field recordings; including interviews and ambient audio.. . Edit short promotional podcast clips for social media.. . . What You’ll Bring:. . . Demonstrated interest in audio production, journalism, and storytelling.. . Strong research, writing, and communication skills.. . Basic audio production skills; familiarity with software like Audition and ProTools.. . Flexibility, adaptability, and a desire to participate in an evolving creative environment. . Enthusiasm about and knowledge of the contemporary podcast media landscape.. . Keen interest in audience insights, metrics, and how data can shape content strategy.. . . Future ACLU-ers Will:. . . Our internship program offers a limited number of remote or hybrid intern positions. This internship can be remote or hybrid and can be full-time or part-time from our NY National office.. . Time Commitment:. Part-time (20 hours/week) or Full-time (35 hours/week).. . Internship Duration:. Full-time internships span 10 consecutive weeks and part-time 12 weeks. This internship has a start date of: . September 9th or September 23rd. . Stipend:. A stipend is available for students who are lawfully authorized to work. Arrangements can be made with educational institutions for work/study or course credit. . .
