Consultants at 84.51° make Kroger customers' lives easier by being their champion and amplifying their voice.  By uncovering data-based insights, 84.51° Consultants keep the customer at the center of all they do - identifying problems, developing solutions, influencing action, and evaluating the impact on customers.  84.51° Consultants build relationships with stakeholders at Kroger, with Kroger’s supplier partners, and internally at 84.51° in order to influence data-driven business decisions, marketing, and media strategies.. .  . . 84.51° is divided into two models made up of cross-functional teams: the Kroger model and the Commercial model.  These models are named for their core stakeholders and priorities, and consultants on both sides require a core set of skills - critical thinking, transformational consulting, and strong business, commercial, tool, and process acumen.  While in the Development Program, you will have the opportunity to build and strengthen these core consulting skills as well as showcase your unique talents.  You’ll accomplish this through completing trainings, case studies, and real-time project work from areas within both the Kroger and Commercial models.  After completion of the program, you will be placed onto one of five business teams:. .  . . Personalization & Loyalty Strategy . . Create a better shopping experience for Kroger customers through strategic innovation and rewards. . . . Supply Chain & Retail Operations . . Optimize Kroger’s upstream logistics using industry leading science, data capabilities, and curated analytics. . . . . Commercial Model. . . Media, Commercial Insights & Loyalty . . Enable 84.51° growth by extending relationships with suppliers through media, insights, and loyalty offerings. . . . Ventures . . Identify, evaluate, pilot, and scale new areas of growth leveraging 84.51°/Kroger enterprise capabilities. . . . .  . . DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM. :. . .  . . Consultants in the Development Program have cohorts starting in January and June at our Cincinnati, OH Headquarters.. .  . . During your first 10 weeks, you will complete 84.51°’s intensive Jumpstart onboarding program consisting of classroom trainings and case study exercises.  After Jumpstart, you will apply what you’ve learned by working on projects sourced from all areas of the 84.51° organization.  Those experiences, which include both tactical and strategic components, will prepare you with the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully engage and add value to our Kroger and Commercial clients.  You will then be assigned to a team based on your skills and the needs of the business.  Great care is taken to ensure this first step in your 84.51° career is one in which you will contribute to the business while also continuing your personal development.. .  . . Must be graduating by the time the program starts - or looking for an early career change to our industry. . Desire to lead, influence, and consult with clients and internal stakeholders. . Aptitude to understand and interpret complex data to formulate business recommendations. . Desire to continually learn and develop. . Strong critical thinking and communication skills. . The stated salary range represents the entire span applicable across all geographic markets from lowest to highest.  Actual salary offers are structured and will be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to function, office location and education level, in alignment with market data and cost of labor.. .
