As an Intermediate Software Engineer, you’ll be joining the team to help us enhance and extend our loan originations and servicing platforms, which include our application flow, borrower portal, and internal platform. You'll take ownership of significant features and systems, while contributing to technical decisions and mentoring junior developers. You'll work on challenging problems that directly impact our users and business, with opportunities to drive technical initiatives and grow into senior leadership roles.. . Collaborating with Engineering leaders, Product and Design, and your fellow Engineers, you’ll help make decisions and deliver projects that will lay the groundwork for Reach to help millions of Americans outsmart debt for good.. . What you will do:.  . . . . Work as part of a team building a modern, full stack B2C loan origination system as an augment to, and extension of, our existing technology platform. . . . Independently deliver reliable, on-time solutions to well-defined problems. . . . Review code contributions across the team and proactively suggest ways to improve and optimize. . . . Contribute to testing efforts, including writing test plans, and participating in QA processes . . . . Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to translate business and UI requirements into technical implementation specifications. . . . Collaborate within cross-functional teams including Product Manager, Product Designers, . SDET. , SRE and Platform engineers, and contribute to a positive team environment. . . . Utilize and evolve industry software delivery lifecycle best practices and methodologies for predictable and sustainable delivery models. . . . Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing. . . . Participate in hiring, onboarding and team building efforts. . . . What you should have:.  . . . . At least 2 years of professional experience in full-stack software development.. . . . Expertise as a full stack developer using object-oriented programming languages (e.g. Typescript/Javascript or Python). . . . Expertise with React or React-based frameworks like Next or Remix. . . . Fluent in the language of CI/CD and version control on top of Github. . . . Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS) and containerization (e.g. Docker). . . . Experience with with software testing principles and practices, and familiarity with test automation frameworks like Playwright and Jest. . . . Solid foundation in software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).. . . . Open to explore and learn Salesforce development for employee-facing use cases. . . . Effective communication and teamwork with technical and non-technical stakeholders. . . . Proven problem-solving skills and attention to detail. . . . Collaborative mindset and enjoys working as part of a team. . . . Ownership mentality and accountability for delivered solutions. . . . Comfortable with ambiguity and changing requirements. . . . Ability to mentor or support junior engineers. . . . Familiar and experienced with latest AI tools: LLMs, MCPs, etc. . . . Nice to haves:. . . . Experience in financial lending industry. . . .
