We are seeking a Manager, Field Leadership and Training. . You are a strong training and operational leader who can build readiness and develop Greyshirts to lead safely and effectively in the field. Reporting to the Director of Field Operations, you will play a crucial role in supporting TR Canada’s mission by strengthening Incident Management Team (IMT) capability and readiness, developing volunteer leaders, and ensuring Greyshirts are prepared to respond when communities need us most. As the Manager, Field Leadership and Training, you will work across departments to identify complex and collective training needs, mentor IMT and Command & General Staff (C&GS) leaders, manage qualification and readiness systems, and lead the delivery of complex training events.. . . Design and implement remote and in-person training programs focused on building TR Canada’s all-hazards Incident Management Team capability.. . . . . Lead the planning and execution of complex training exercises and leadership development events for staff and volunteers.. . . . . Build, mentor, and support IMT and Command and General Staff leaders across Canada.. . . . . Conduct leadership coaching, quarterly reviews, and readiness assessments with volunteer leaders and field leadership teams.. . . . . Develop and maintain qualification, currency, and readiness tracking systems for Greyshirts.. . . . . Conduct annual regional training gap analyses and recommend strategic training priorities to the Director of Field Operations.. . . . . Collaborate across Operations, Volunteer Experience, Logistics, Technology, Development, and People Operations to support national readiness initiatives.. . . . . Develop readiness metrics and reporting mechanisms to evaluate training effectiveness, leadership progression, and operational preparedness.. . . . . Support disaster operations and maintain awareness of evolving disaster response practices and Team Rubicon International capabilities.. . . . . Other duties as assigned.. . . . Experience and Background:. . . . Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Disaster Response, Adult Education, Leadership, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. .. . . . . 3-5+ years of progressive experience in training and leadership development; including experience leading teams in dynamic environments, with at least 2 years in a formal leadership position.. . . . . ICS 100 and ICS 200 mandatory; ICS 300 preferred.. . . . . Proven track record of designing and delivering complex, collective training programs.. . . . . Demonstrated experience developing leaders within high-stress, high-risk, or operational environments.. . . . . Strong planning and organizational skills, including experience managing budgets, logistics, and competing priorities. .. . . . . Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility across diverse teams and stakeholders in-person and virtually.. . . . . Proven experience mentoring leaders and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.. . . . . Knowledge of current trends and best practices in training and disaster response.. . . . . Experience operating effectively in dynamic, fast-paced, and ambiguous environments.. . . . . Ability to collaborate and engage with a diverse population.. . . . . Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.. . . . .
