Director of Security Operations. will be a critical leader in our CISO organization, responsible for the day-to-day management of our security program and the strategic alignment of our IT and security functions. Reporting directly to the CISO, this role will manage two teams security and IT engineers.. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to build collaborative relationships across departments. . Key Responsibilities:. Security Operations. . Lead, mentor, and manage the security operations team, ensuring the effective execution of security policies, procedures, and best practices.. . Oversee security . incident response. , including detection, analysis, containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident review.. . Manage and optimize security tools and technologies, including:. . . Google Workspace. . JAMF and Automox (for mobile device management). . Crowdstrike Falcon (for EDR). . IDS and . SIEM. functions. . . Develop and maintain security metrics and reporting to track performance, identify trends, and communicate risk to leadership.. . Manage regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests, working with relevant teams to remediate identified weaknesses.. . Stay current with emerging security threats, technologies, and regulations, continuously improving the company's security posture.. . IT Operations. . Manage the IT team responsible for supporting employee use of SaaS tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Atlassian Suite, Microsoft 365, etc.) and managed laptops.. . Ensure the reliable and secure operation of all IT systems and infrastructure.. . Oversee IT asset lifecycle, including procurement, deployment, and decommissioning.. . Team Leadership & Collaboration. . Foster a culture of strong collaboration and communication between the security and IT teams.. . Champion the understanding that IT and security are two sides of the same coin; as their alignment is paramount to the success of both functions and the overall organization.. . Work closely with the CISO to align security operations with overall business objectives and risk appetite.. . Collaborate with other departments to ensure security requirements are integrated into business processes and new initiatives.. . Oversee development and delivery of security awareness training to employees.. . Work towards the company's goal of passing a SOC2 audit. . Collaborate with other teams to address customer security compliance questionnaires. . Requirements. . Bachelor's degree; Master's degree and/or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GCIH) preferred.. . 7+ years of experience in information security and IT, with at least 2 years in a senior leadership or management role.. . Demonstrated experience managing both security and IT operations teams.. . Strong understanding of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and compliance requirements.. . Proficiency in a variety of relevant security technologies and tools, including those listed above.. . Experience with cloud security principles and practices. . . Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.. .
