Role Overview:. . We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Head of Security & IT to build and lead our security and IT infrastructure from the ground up. This is a foundational role, which is critical to ensuring patient data is protected, systems are compliant, and teams are supported with secure, scalable tech. You’ll partner cross-functionally to shape our security structure, network architecture, compliance strategy (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2), and internal IT operations. . Key Responsibilities:. . Cybersecurity & Risk Mitigation . Implement strong cybersecurity frameworks that safeguard digital assets and ensure compliance . Manage risk through proactive threat detection, vulnerability management, and enterprise-wide . incident response. processes . Maintain robust disaster recovery and business continuity capabilities . IT Operations & End-User Support . Helpdesk: Ensure timely, user-focused support and efficient resolution of incidents and requests. . End-User Computing (EUC): Manage device lifecycle, provisioning, and performance strategies. . Desktop Support: Provide expert troubleshooting and on-site assistance. . Field Services: Coordinate IT support for remote offices and field staff as needed, ensuring connectivity, event coverage, and integration with central systems. . Vendor & Stakeholder Management . Manage vendor partnerships to ensure timely delivery of quality services and solutions . Engage with business leaders to understand needs and align infrastructure initiatives accordingly . Partner with business owners to manage relationships with vendors and ensure that vendor costs are kept within approved budgets . Network Infrastructure . Design, secure, and maintain enterprise network architecture to support robust connectivity and seamless operations . Continuously monitor and optimize for uptime, ease of use, security, and performance.. . Qualifications:. . 6+ years in security, IT, network infrastructure, or other related fields . Experience with digital health or healthcare startups preferred . Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., APT, Zero Trust, PAM, . SIEM. , endpoint protection). . Risk & Compliance Expertise: Skilled in managing IT risk, regulatory compliance, and vulnerability management programs. (SOC2, HIPAA, HITRUST, FedRamp) . Project Management: Capable of managing complex, concurrent projects on time and within budget. . Cloud Security Acumen: Familiar with securing AWS, Azure, and/or GCP environments. . Leadership & Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels and across business units.
