Own and deliver quarterly goals for the team and lead engineers through ambiguity to solve open-ended problems.. Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics in the product development lifecycle, participating in ideation, articulating technical constraints, and making considered decisions regarding risks and trade-offs.. Identify and advocate for solutions to project, process, technology, or business issues, leading in solving them.. Support operations and availability by creating and monitoring metrics, escalating when needed, and participating in on-call efforts.. Foster a culture of quality and ownership by setting or improving code review and design standards and advocating for them through writing and tech talks.. Develop team talent by providing feedback, guidance, and leading by example.. 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale using languages like Python or Kotlin.. Track record of developing highly available distributed systems using technologies like AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.. Experience defining technical plans for delivering significant features or system components with elegant, simple, and extensible designs.. Proficiency in making significant changes in a large code base with a suite of tools and practices to do so safely.. Proactive in seeking feedback from team, manager, and stakeholders.. Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with a global engineering team.. Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field required..
