Strategic Finance Analyst at AllTrails. Location Information: United States. AllTrails is the most trusted and used outdoors platform in the world. We help people explore the outdoors with hand-curated trail maps along with photos, reviews, and user recordings crowdsourced from our community of millions of registered hikers, mountain bikers, and trail runners in 150 countries.. Supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for leadership, the board, and investors—from raw data pulls to polished presentations. Contributing to ad-hoc strategic analyses cross-functionally (e.g., paid acquisition performance, product launch business cases, international market analysis, etc.). Maintaining detailed financial models to support budgeting and planning, and performing budget variance analysis at a monthly cadence. Building and maintaining performance reporting and KPI dashboards for various departments using SQL and Looker. Supporting inbound diligence requests and other ad hoc strategic projects as needed. 2–4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, management consulting, or strategic finance/FP&A, preferably with a focus on software and internet businesses. Exposure to annual and long-range forecasting, reporting on forecast vs. actual variance, and similar FP&A responsibilities. Proven track record of achieving goals and delivering results in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets. Strong working knowledge of SQL and business intelligence tools. Strong attention to detail and analytical rigor. Solid presentation skills, with the ability to communicate quantitative and qualitative insights clearly and visually. Strong communication skills, including the ability to break down complex concepts and proactively share knowledge with teammates and stakeholders. Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Curious, experimental mindset—especially with emerging AI tools and technologies. Humility, empathy, and open-mindedness—no egos.
