Features Editor at SlateSlate is hiring a features editor to expand our longer-form roster with standout reporting, essays, and other work that deepens our daily offering. We’re looking for an experienced, enterprising editor with a wide range of interests and knowledge to match. The ideal candidate will be just as comfortable directing tricky, sensitive reporting as they are fine-tuning a big essay’s argument, and they will have a strong rolodex of writers with a clear record of commissioning standout feature work. This job will also be an active part of the newsroom, with day-to-day idea generation and editing staff writers alongside the longer work at the core of the role..
