You’re responsible for Making Stuff Go — building infrastructure for new features, improving existing code, squashing bugs, and helping rapidly scale the platform.. Triage and manage GitHub issues. Scope and test new features. Refactor legacy code with backwards compatibility in mind. Conduct peer code reviews. Collaborate async across multiple communication channels. Requirements. Professional WordPress plugin development experience. Advanced proficiency with PHP and MySQL, including modern PHP practices. Strong JavaScript knowledge (vanilla JS, jQuery, ES6). Build tools expertise (Gulp, Webpack). Package manager proficiency (Composer, NPM). Third-party API integration experience. Git and GitHub proficiency. Ability to iterate and ship quickly. Exceptional troubleshooting and debugging skills. Remote or freelance work background. Availability during 9am–5pm ET for team meetings. Ability to simplify complex concepts in communication.
