Senior Project Manager at Oceans. Location Information: Sri Lanka. Role Summary:. We're looking for a proactive and systems-minded Project Manager/Senior Project Manager who acts as the glue between teams and tasks—someone who can bring structure, accountability, and momentum to a creative, sometimes chaotic environment. Reporting directly to one of the founders, you’ll play a central role in operationalizing workflows, owning Monday.com project spaces, and supporting internal initiatives.. This is not a traditional "checklist PM" role. You’ll be expected to build, implement, and maintain systems, manage deliverables across teams, and proactively problem-solve. Workflow & Systems Management. . Own and manage project boards, workflows and automation within Monday.com. . Build, document, and train the team on new systems, dashboards, and procedures within Monday.com. . Track deliverables, deadlines, and team accountability on implementation and uses of operational systems. . Help build and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). . Monitor systems usage and retrain/remind teams when tools are underutilized. . 2. Financial & Admin Support. . Oversee basic financial tracking systems. . Draft invoices for contractors and clients. . Taking on some internal culture work, such as organizing monthly staff happy hours as well as monthly process trainings. . Manage contracts through Monday.com lifecycle forms and check-ins. . Ad hoc operational support that arises for the C-Suite such as:. . . PTO bank. . Setting up an invoice automations between Monday and Xero. . Setting up company swag. . Build a document that c-suite updates monthly that shows quickly who is staffed on what accounts. . Building a database that we can fill in with people's skillsets, build password security dashboard, etc. . . 3. Project Oversight & Execution. . Monitor all operations-based active projects and tasks—serve as the central reference point across teams. . Ensure deliverables are completed on time, and risks are escalated early. . Provide weekly updates and maintain visibility across project lifecycles. . 4. Special Projects & Strategic Initiatives. . Conduct research for new initiatives (e.g., affiliate platforms, vendor partnerships). . Lead implementation of operational updates across the org (e.g., ads workflow rollout). . Identify process gaps and take initiative to close them—before being asked. . Must-Haves:. . Experience in operations, project management, or program coordination. . Attention to detail. . Highly analytical. . Self-learner. . Strong fluency with project management platforms (Asana, Monday.com, ClickUp, Airtable, etc.). . Ability to create automations, link boards, and standardize processes. . Demonstrated ability to build and implement workflows, not just maintain them. . Excellent communication and follow-through skills—written and verbal. . Experience managing or coordinating across cross-functional teams. . Comfortable being “friendly assertive” and giving/reminding others on tasks, even with people who are more senior at the company. . High level of self-direction and the ability to push initiatives independently. . Experience working in a fast-paced startup or, creative agency, or nonprofit environment. . Nice-to-Haves:. . Comfort building and maintaining internal as well as client-facing project structures (CRM, onboarding workflows, deliverable tracking). . Ability to draft basic documentation, SOPs, and internal training materials. . Familiarity with contract management and invoice creation workflows. . Background or exposure to values-driven or diverse workplaces. . Cultural & Personality Fit:. Friendly and collaborative but not afraid to push back when needed. .
