Reporting to our Managing Director, you'll lead content strategy and execution for a handful of clients while helping shape a content practice you believe in. . You'll create smart content strategies and then actually write the content yourself - someone who can pull insights from both C-suite conversations and buyer research to understand what really moves their market, then craft content that gets them top-of-mind when decisions happen.. Core Responsibilities. Create Content People Care About. You'll write the content that drives business impact: website copy that converts, landing pages that engage, email campaigns people want to read, thought leadership that gets shared, case studies that close deals, compelling video scripts, and sales content that moves prospects forward. . You'll interview subject matter experts with a producer's mindset, shaping conversations to uncover strong stories and turning their complex ideas into content that resonates with buyers as people, not just job titles.. Every piece you create will serve a strategic purpose and be crafted to stay top-of-mind when prospects are ready to make decisions.. Build Content Strategy. You'll build smart, expertise- and empathy-driven content strategies for clients. . You'll interview key stakeholders to uncover compelling stories, create content plans that connect brand positioning with performance marketing, and build editorial strategies that support business growth. . You'll dive deep into each client's market, audience, and competitive landscape, then translate those insights into content that stands out.. Shape Messaging & Brand Voice. You'll lead the big messaging projects when clients need to figure out how to talk about what they do. This includes developing value propositions, defining brand voice, and writing website copy. . You'll help clients cut through market noise and connect with buyers in a way that feels authentic. . You'll guide clients through tough messaging decisions, run workshops when stakeholders need to get aligned, and create messaging frameworks that teams can use consistently across touchpoints.. Level Up Our Team. You'll work with our contract writers and specialists to make sure everything we produce is strong. . You'll contribute to training and documentation, and help us improve our content workflows. . Your experience with clients will help shape our approach to content strategy, and you'll help build a team culture that values both smart thinking and great work.. Track Content Performance. You'll keep an eye on how content is performing across channels, figure out what's working and what isn't, and make improvements based on the data. . You'll work with our demand gen team to make sure content supports our growth marketing efforts while staying high-quality and engaging.. Other Responsibilities. We're a collaborative team, so you might occasionally jump in on other projects and work that help our clients and our agency succeed.. Required Skills and Competencies. Content & Strategy Experience. 5+ years in content marketing, with experience in both strategy and hands-on execution. Experience interviewing key people, turning their complex ideas into clear, compelling content, and writing detailed briefs that guide editorial and design teams. Solid understanding of B2B buying journeys and how content drives both brand awareness and demand generation, especially for companies with longer sales cycles. Strong B2B experience, with bonus points for diverse industry exposure including B2C or other sectors  that bring fresh perspective. A thoughtful take on when and how to use AI in content work. Writing & Storytelling Skills. Strong portfolio showing you can write across formats: web copy, thought leadership, email campaigns, lead magnets, ad copy, sales materials, social media posts, video scripts, and audio content. Ability to adapt voice and tone for different brands, audiences, and business goals. Understanding of SEO that doesn't let optimization flatten the writing. Experience creating content that connects with buyers as people, understanding what motivates decision-makers beyond just their job responsibilities. Ability to craft memorable stories that position brands well when prospects are ready to buy. Agency & Client Experience. At least 3 years in an agency or client services environment. Experience managing client relationships at the director level and above, positioning yourself as a strategic partner. Comfort presenting strategies to senior stakeholders and facilitating conversations when messaging gets unclear. Strong project management skills - someone who can manage their own projects while collaborating naturally with creatives. Experience guiding contract writers and specialists to deliver high-quality work. Tools & Technology. Content Management: WordPress, HubSpot CMS, or similar platforms. Analytics & SEO: Google Analytics, Databox, Ahrefs, Surfer, or similar tools. Collaboration: Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides), Slack, Figma. Marketing Automation: HubSpot, Pardot, or similar platforms. Project Management: Teamwork, ClickUp, Asana, or similar platforms. AI Tools: Experience with ChatGPT, Claude, AirOps, or similar tools. Experience with these tools is helpful, but we care more about your ability to learn quickly and think strategically.. Impact on Organization.
