About the Role. We're looking for a skilled . DevOps Engineer. with strong expertise in cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS (EKS, RDS, S3), and a passion for automation and operational excellence.. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing CI/CD pipelines (especially GitHub Actions), deploying and optimizing containerized applications, and a deep understanding of Linux/Unix systems, Cloudflare configurations, and observability tools like Honeycomb. Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, Ruby, or Go (preferred) to analyze system health and performance is highly valued.. Responsibilities. Configure and manage AWS & Cloudflare services to improve web application performance and security. Deploy, manage, and optimize containerized applications using Amazon EKS, ensuring high scalability and reliability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, engineering, marketing) including offshore teams to improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for seamless automated deployment in development and production environments. Utilize observability tools (Honeycomb, AWS CloudWatch) to debug production issues and solve complex problems across multiple services. Apply security best practices and compliance measures across cloud and application layers using AWS and Cloudflare tools. Optimize cost and performance using Cloudflare CDN and AWS infrastructure for global reach and user experience. Qualifications. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience (4+ years) in DevOps or cloud infrastructure roles. Strong backend development experience, especially with Go and Node.js (TypeScript). Experience deploying Next.js applications in Dockerized production environments. Proficient with Docker, Kubernetes, and event-driven microservice architectures. Solid Linux/Unix administration skills, including scripting in Bash, Python, Ruby, or preferably Go. Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, EKS, RDS, S3, OpsWorks, CloudWatch, ElastiCache). Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation). Proficient in managing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions. Experience creating and maintaining automated test suites (unit, integration, E2E). Familiarity with Git workflows (branching, merging, tagging, cherry-picking). Knowledge of REST & GraphQL APIs management, including performance and security. Experience with e-commerce integrations (Stripe, Braintree) is a plus. Understanding of Service-Level Objectives (SLOs) and monitoring performance metrics. Experience with PostgreSQL database design and management. Expertise with monitoring, debugging, and performance tools (OpenTelemetry, Honeycomb, logging & observability tools). Deep knowledge of Cloudflare configurations for web security and performance.
