Technical Writer at Vectorworks. Location Information: USA. This role reaches across all aspects of every Vectorworks product, supporting design professionals in the Architecture, Entertainment, and Landscape Design industries. You will create online documentation that helps users of multi-platform design software work more efficiently and effectively. You will collaborate with engineers, test software hands-on, and develop best-in-class guides that make a direct impact on user success..  . Our Tech Pubs team ensures that every Vectorworks user can navigate an extensive, complex design platform with confidence by delivering accurate, consistent, and usable documentation that directly shapes the user experience..  . In this role you will:.  . ·     Write clear, concise, and technically accurate end-user documentation.. ·     Develop and implement departmental procedures, styles, standards, and best practices.. ·     Research and plan documentation updates using information gathered from design specs, subject matter experts, and direct software testing.. ·     Prepare and release help files, including translation-ready content, for international audiences.. ·     Manage multiple writing assignments under tight deadlines and work both alone and as part of a supportive team.. ·     Work closely with engineers and product teams to maintain consistency and usability across the software..  . Success looks like:.  . ·     Curiosity, agility, and the drive to quickly learn new processes, tools, and technologies—positioning you to take on increasingly complex projects.. ·     Interest in understanding how things are connected and how to show those connections.. ·     A passionate writer with an eye for detail and an interest in technology.. ·     Knowledge of Adobe RoboHelp or similar software that uses styles or templates to create consistent documentation across a large project.. ·     Proven logical problem-solving skills with a knack for understanding how tools and workflows connect across a complex system.. ·     The ability to balance speed and precision, and set priorities over the course of a writing cycle.. ·     Willingness to explore the use of AI within a human-driven technical writing process..  .  . Extra Credit:.  . ·     Skills with SnagIt or other image-capture software.. ·     Some experience with 3D design software.. ·     CSS, HTML, JavaScript knowledge.. ·     Localization/translation experience.. ·     Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence.. Compensation:. Annual base salary of $110,000-120,000. Eligible for company performance bonuses.. Salary offer is determined by evaluation of candidate skills and experience during the interview process based on the criteria outlined in the job advertisement above..  .
