We are looking for a dedicated and experienced HR Coordinator to support our staff of ~50 people on a part‐time basis. T. he role will be. remote. , . requiring approximately 8–10 hours per week. The person in this role will help strengthen HR processes, ensure our policies are up-to-date and aligned with Québec and federal regulations, and support a positive, inclusive, and compliant workplace culture. This is a remote role with flexible hours, ideal for someone who enjoys working independently while ensuring compliance and fostering a healthy workplace culture.. Key Responsibilities. Manage onboarding and orientation for new employees, interns, and volunteers. Maintain and update HR policies, employee handbook, and internal procedures to reflect best practices and legal requirements in Québec/Canada. Maintain employee records, ensuring data is kept confidential and secure. Support recruitment: job postings, screening applicants, scheduling interviews, reference checks. Advise staff and management on HR questions, policy interpretation, benefit-related matters, workplace culture, and compliance issues. Assist with performance management and staff development processes. Address HR matters as they arise, including but not limited to workplace relations, policy enforcement, and employee well-being. Process and coordinate . bimonthly payroll. in collaboration with finance team. Qualifications. 3+ years of HR experience, ideally including experience in a small NGO or non-profit setting. Strong knowledge of Québec/Canadian employment laws, labour standards, and HR best practices. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong administrative capability. Comfortable working autonomously and managing time responsibly with minimal supervision. Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds. Experience with payroll and HR software ( ADP) is required.. French is the primary working language at the Centre.
