Role Description. Mercor is recruiting . Senior Software Engineers . with “Rust” expertise based in the U.S. and Europe for research projects with leading AI labs.. Involve a variety of common programming tasks, including debugging, refactoring, and writing test cases for complex code repositories. . You will interface with prominent AI researchers from top labs. . The work is . fully asynchronous . and can be done around your schedule. . Minimum commitment of 10 hours per week, with the possibility to work up to 40 hours per week, depending on the quality of work. . Successful contributions increase the odds that you will be selected for future projects with Mercor. . Qualifications. Deep expertise in Rust and concurrent programming. . 3+ years of experience in production-grade backend systems. . Significant contributions to open-source Rust projects. . Requirements. We can meet industry-standard compensation expectations for your current role. . Payment will be made at the end of each week via Stripe Connect based on the number of hours logged. . You will be classified as an “at-will” contractor to Mercor. . We cannot currently support H1-B or STEM OPT status candidates. .
