Mercor is seeking experienced mechanical engineers to support a leading AI lab in advancing research and infrastructure for next-generation machine learning systems. This engagement focuses on diagnosing and solving real issues in manufacturing engineering through hands-on scenario creation and validation. Write tasks and scenarios that reflect real-world mechanical engineering work in manufacturing based on your professional experience . Create realistic situations involving product design, prototyping, testing, and production optimization . Develop scenarios for troubleshooting equipment, analyzing mechanical systems, and implementing design improvements . Review and evaluate AI responses to mechanical engineering queries for accuracy and technical precision . Provide detailed feedback on manufacturing engineering scenarios to improve AI training . Qualifications. 4+ years professional experience in a mechanical engineering role in manufacturing . Demonstrated professional recognition and management responsibilities . Proficient with using computers and navigating various software systems . Excellent written communication with strong grammar and spelling skills . Pass video interview, background check, training, and qualification quiz . Requirements. Fully remote and asynchronous — complete work on your own schedule . Expected workload: 20+ hours per week, with flexibility to scale up to 40 hours . Project start date: immediately, lasting for around 6 weeks . Compensation & Contract Terms.
