Test Lead at OpenSymmetry. Location Information: USA. Position Summary. At OpenSymmetry, the Test Lead plays a critical role in ensuring the success of testing activities across incentive compensation implementation projects. This role is responsible for leading and coordinating all aspects of the testing lifecycle, including conducting status meetings, preparing documentation, tracking progress, directing internal and external testing resources, creating test cases, documenting results, and managing defect tracking. The Test Lead will also be expected to create comprehensive test strategies for new implementations, review design specifications, and translate customer requirements into effective testing approaches.. Beyond execution, this position emphasizes leadership and strategic oversight, guiding and coaching team members through the testing process, gathering and analyzing testing metrics, and using those insights to drive decision-making, improve predictability, and enhance overall quality. Strong analytical skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to adapt strategies to varying project elements are essential for success in this role. Job Objectives. The ideal candidate will be able to:. Create testing status materials . Conduct testing status meetings . Write detailed test work plans, scenarios and scripts based on business requirements and high-level designs . Execute system integration testing, user acceptance testing, performance testing, troubleshooting and debugging . Collaborate effectively with the internal and external test team members, implementation consultants, customer user communities, and project management team in the execution and documentation of test procedures . Investigate issues and manage client expectations . Develop reusable processes, templates and toolkits for continuous improvement of testing methodology . Review and analyze change requests to determine the scope of work and estimate the level of effort for testing application changes . Monitor testing schedules and budgets and manage exceptions as required . Requirements. Nice to have Skills:. At least 3 to 5 years of experience in testing IT software implementations, incentive compensation experience preferred . Experience with automated testing tools . Highly proficient in MS Excel  . Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills . Must be detail-oriented, organized, and have the aptitude for understanding testing/data  . Excellent customer advocacy and relationship skills . Excellent written and verbal communication skills . Ability to work independently, fulfilling multiple roles  . Benefits.
