We’re looking for a Payroll Coordinator to support accurate, timely, and compliant payroll operations across the company. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role that sits at the intersection of People Ops and Finance, working closely with our Payroll Lead and cross-functional partners.. In this role, you’ll help ensure payroll runs smoothly by validating inputs, auditing data across systems, maintaining trackers, and supporting month-end and compliance-related processes. Prepare and support end-to-end payroll cycles by validating inputs (timesheets, compensation changes, leaves, bonuses, commissions, reimbursements) and maintaining payroll files and trackers. Audit employee data across payroll and HR systems to ensure accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and maintain clean, consistent records. Partner closely with the Payroll Lead, People Ops, Finance, and managers to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve payroll-impacting issues. Review and maintain accurate payroll setup for new hires, terminations, severance, bonuses, and other employee lifecycle changes. Process, validate, and document commissions, bonuses, and other one-off or special payments for audit and reporting purposes. Support payroll audits, compliance activities, and ongoing process improvements. Assist with tax and benefits administration, including state tax account access, compliance trackers, 401(k) contribution audits, and benefits cost reconciliation. Support month-end close activities, including payroll vendor reporting and invoice reconciliation. Monitor and route payroll, tax, and benefits-related correspondence. What we’re looking for. At least 1 year of hands-on payroll experience. Working knowledge of multi-state payroll and basic payroll tax requirements. Strong attention to detail and comfort auditing and reconciling data across systems. Proficiency with Excel and/or Google Sheets. Ability to manage deadlines, prioritize work, and collaborate cross-functionally in a remote environment. Experience with ADP or similar payroll systems is a plus. Exposure to international payroll is a plus. You’ll be successful in this role if you. Enjoy structured, process-driven work and thrive on accuracy. Keep calm during payroll cycles and follow through on details. Communicate clearly, document thoroughly, and flag issues early. Prefer clean reconciliations over “we’ll fix it next cycle”.
