Strong written and verbal communication skills. . Good math skills. . . Essential duties include but are not limited to:. . . This position is Monday – Friday 8am-5pm . Mountain Standard Time. . Communicate with customers, quote rates, and provide up to date information regarding loads.. . Coordinate loading and unloading arrangements with drivers and customers.. . Input orders efficiently and accurately – attention to detail is crucial.. . Negotiate freight rates and terms with carriers. . Vet new carrier partners; Review FMCSA ratings, confirm insurance. . Monitor driver progress from pick up to delivery. . Dispatch freight daily by phone and operating systems. . Willing to work weekends as needed (currently this is very rare). . .
