This role is responsible for overseeing enterprise database systems, ensuring data integrity, security, performance, and high availability across multiple environments. The position involves designing, implementing, and optimizing SQL Server databases while collaborating with IT infrastructure and business teams. You will lead capacity planning, monitor system health, and provide end-to-end support for critical applications. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to database management. In this role, you will:. . Lead the architecture, implementation, and capacity planning of enterprise databases.. . Monitor performance, availability, and health of SQL Server environments, including clustering, mirroring, and failover strategies.. . Enforce security protocols, encryption standards, and compliance with organizational policies.. . Troubleshoot and maintain SQL servers and address network-related database issues.. . Support disaster recovery planning, backup strategies, and database integrity procedures.. . Collaborate with IT infrastructure, network teams, and business units on application upgrades, user access, and impact analysis.. . Document database environments, enforce data integrity, and recommend system improvements.. . Serve as Application Administrator for critical systems and support audit and access review processes.. . . Candidates should have:. . Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.. . 7+ years of experience in database administration, preferably within the financial industry.. . Advanced knowledge of SQL Server, database structure, configuration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.. . Experience with Microsoft Server environments (Windows Server 2019/2022/2025, Office 365, server hardware).. . Familiarity with disaster recovery, backup procedures, and reporting tools.. .
