Both projects will stretch your backend muscles and offer plenty of room to improve architecture, performance, and team processes.. Day-to-Day Responsibilities. . Implement backend features in Ruby on Rails for both web and mobile . . Design performant APIs and services that scale . . Collaborate with frontend (Vue/React) and mobile freelancers . . Refactor legacy logic and improve performance on high-traffic code . . Drive technical decisions as you grow into deeper ownership . . . . 5+ years. of professional experience with Ruby on Rails . . Strong database skills (MySQL, Redis, MongoDB) . . Solid frontend awareness (React/Vue, HTML/CSS) — you’ll interface with it, not own it . .
