Team Leadership & Management. . Serve as the primary point of contact for all backend development matters.. . Conduct regular 1:1 meetings to monitor team member progress and well-being.. . Lead and facilitate team meetings, ensuring clear action items and accountability.. . Define and monitor the team’s short- and long-term objectives.. . Manage team schedules, including vacations, leaves, and resource planning.. . Team Development. . Identify and address training needs through internal, external, or cross-functional programs.. . Define individual development goals and career paths tailored to each team member.. . Conduct annual performance evaluations and provide actionable feedback.. . Assess team growth needs and plan future hiring accordingly.. . Oversee and optimize the onboarding experience for new hires.. . Planning & Coordination. . Organize, prioritize, and define tasks for the team effectively.. . Ensure proper backlog grooming and task alignment with project deadlines.. . Quality & Process Improvement. . Conduct code and deliverable reviews to maintain high quality.. . Promote efficient workflows, processes, and the use of appropriate tools.. . Guide the team in adopting architectural and coding best practices.. . Strategic and Technical Involvement. . Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business needs.. . Provide hands-on support in resolving complex technical issues.. . Actively contribute to technical design and production-ready code when needed.. . . 5+ years of backend development experience using PHP and/or Typescript.. . 3+ years of experience working on backend systems in production.. . 2+ years building high-availability applications in AWS.. . Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming and principles (SOLID, KISS, DRY).. . Experience with Clean Architecture, event-driven systems, and serverless design.. . Strong organizational and leadership skills.. . Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. . . Desirable qualifications. . Previous experience managing development teams.. .
