Role Overview: . The Ecommerce Technical Lead is responsible for keeping the Client’s ecommerce and digital marketing technology running smoothly and improving it over time. This role owns the technical foundations that support digital marketing, ecommerce performance, data accuracy, and customer experience. . This is a hands-on role. You identify issues early, fix them quickly, and make sure systems are reliable, compliant, and optimised. You act as the bridge between digital business needs and technology, turning requirements into practical technical solutions.. Overall you own the technical foundations of ecommerce and digital marketing, ensuring systems work reliably, data can be trusted, customers have a great experience, and the business can confidently measure and grow digital performance.. Key Responsibilities: . Ecommerce & MarTech Stack . Ensure platforms like Shopify, Klaviyo, analytics tools, GTM, product feeds and consent tools work reliably every day . Troubleshoot issues quickly and prevent repeat problems . Work with third-party technology partners when required . Support both day-to-day ecommerce operations and new project rollouts. Data, Tracking & Reporting . Own tagging, tracking and attribution so reporting can be trusted . Maintain high-quality customer and product data across all channels - Oversee experimentation and testing tools . Improve personalisation, targeting and performance measurement . The role supports accurate reporting, not insight analysis . Governance . Set clear rules and structure for tools such as GTM, cookies and consent management . Ensure privacy, security and compliance standards are met Protect customer data and maintain best-practice governance . Keep documentation clear, current and accessible. Customer Experience Enablement . Ensure the website’s technical foundations support a fast, reliable and campaign-ready customer experience . Support content updates tied to product launches and marketing activity . Enable content updates required for product launches and marketing activity, in partnership with relevant teams if required . Assess and improve how technology impacts the end-to-end customer journey . Required Skills and Qualifications:. Strong understanding of ecommerce and marketing technology . Very high attention to detail, especially around data and tracking . Able to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical team . Takes ownership and proactively improves systems . Organised, independent and comfortable working at pace. . Understands privacy, consent and responsible data practices .  Preferred platform knowledge; Shopify, Klaviyo, Google ecosystem, Akeneo, OneTrust. Work Arrangement & Expectations:.
