We're looking for a Media Relations & Editorial Associate who is sharp, driven, self-directed, and serious about the craft. Lanecraft Lab was founded by Nish Amarnath, a seasoned communications strategist and former management consultant at KPMG with experience reporting for outlets like Reuters and the Wall Street Journal and advising the UK Government, World Bank, Meta, and Fortune 500 energy and infrastructure companies across North America, Europe, and Asia. We understand how newsroom decisions drive stories. We move fast, pitch smart, and write well.. Responsibilities:. This is a fully remote, part-time contract role, approximately 12–15 hours per week, at $22-$30/hour, depending on the candidate's experience. Candidates in the Eastern Time zone are preferred. Day-to-day responsibilities include:. Developing and distributing press releases and media advisories.. Writing pitches customized for reporters, editors, freelance journalists, contributors, and stringers.. Information-seeding with beat reporters at key Tier-1, trade, and regional media outposts, and managing media inquiries.. Drafting email interview responses, award submission packages, executive profiles, and talk summaries for speaking events, industry conferences, breakout sessions, and panels.. Collaborating on editorial content and client communications strategy.. Coordinating webinars and virtual events, as needed.. 2–4 years of experience in PR, communications, journalism, or content strategy. An agency or journalism background is strongly preferred. . A strong writer and an instinctive editor who can work fast without losing quality and factual accuracy.. Proven experience pitching journalists / podcast hosts and securing coverage. If you are contacted for an interview, please be ready to speak to specific placements.. Familiarity with media outreach tools (Qwoted, Prowly, Muck Rack, Cision, or Meltwater). Comfortable working independently in a lean, fast-moving environment with high standards. Experience across business, sports, health, or lifestyle verticals is a plus.. A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, PR, Marketing, or related field is required.. A Master's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, PR, or adjacent field is a plus..
